Halo 3 - Halo Box

Halo 3 is considered the most played video game of all time. At first I didn’t find Halo 3 exciting because I was just playing the campaign mode. The story was good but there are a lot of dull moments in the campaign mode. Just like the other 2 games from Xbox 1, you’ll play as Master Chief. As usual, you’ll hunt and shoot covenant forces but this time you’ll be tagged along Arbiter.  Like I said, the story was good but the gameplay in the campaign mode lack climatic moments.
Then I tried redeeming the 2 Day Multiplayer trial code I got from Modern Warfare 2 and logged in my Halo 3 game in the Matchmaking Multiplayer and all I can say is WHOA!!
I was playing the Matchmaking Social Slayer game for hours. I got hooked pretty much in the Multiplayer mode of Halo 3, then I just realized the main meat of Halo 3 was in the Multiplayer Mode. The campaign was just a small bonus and it quite sucked.

The Graphics were pretty awesome especially if your Xbox 360 is hooked on an HDTV.
The Sounds were good too although I was not impressed on the musical scores.
The Gameplay is Awesome in Multiplayer! Matchmaking Social Rumble pit and Slayer ROCKS!!

But I wouldn’t recommend playing the campaign mode except if you’re collecting achievement points, Halo 3 is packed with achievement points.
Controls are perfect! Halo3 was meant to be played on console. You’ll have to play the game to find out for yourself.
Overall, Halo 3 is a must have if you have an Xbox 360. Your Gold Subscription is nothing without Halo 3.

Splinter Cell Conviction

I got excited about the new Splinter Cell game exclusive for Xbox 360 and the PC. I downloaded Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo a few days ago and my first impression was DAMN!! This is what an Espionage game should be. Splinter Cell: Conviction captures what is really like to be a Stealth One-Man-Army agent. Controls are easy to execute especially that Killshot/Headshot move.

Graphics are superb thanks to Unreal Engine. Music, Sounds and even the dialogues were presented flawlessly. Keep in mind that this is just my review for the Demo game, let’s wait and keep our fingers crossed until the full game comes out. I would expect no less from the team from Tom Clancy games, Ubisoft and of course our very own hero SAM FISHER.

Try Splinter Cell: Conviction today and see what i’m babbling about. Just make sure you are an Xbox Live Gold Member

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

It’s finally here, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 finally arrived last November 13, 2009 (here in the philippines). It’s a no brainer this is the best First Person Modern Shooter ever created, Activision and Infinity Ward had done it again.

Left 4 Dead

A perfect reason to upgrade your Xbox Live account to Gold subscription.
Left 4 Dead uses Source graphics engine that has been used in Half-Life 2 Series. That is why this game can be heard and seen everywhere. Multiplayer is one of the best features in Left 4 Dead, you can use voice interactions to communicate with your teammates plus you will get to feel what it’s like in the world of the dead, trying to survive, lending help, asking for help, etc… It’s like being in the Dawn of the Dead movie. Although playing Left 4 Dead alone (Single Player Mode) will just bore the crap out of you. There’s no story and it only has 4 campaigns to play with. If you plan to play this, ask your friends to play as well.
Sound arrangements are awesome, Well-brushed Gunfires, Zombie growls and horrific ambience makes Left 4 Dead scary as hell.
If you are looking for games for LAN parties, Xbox Live or for GArena, Left 4 Dead is the game for you! Although Playing it alone is just not worth it.
