Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

It’s finally here, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 finally arrived last November 13, 2009 (here in the philippines). It’s a no brainer this is the best First Person Modern Shooter ever created, Activision and Infinity Ward had done it again.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 takes off 5 years after the events of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the russians retaliate after the assassination of their national hero Zakhaev. A new enemy has arrived named Makarov, an evil terrorist leader who will kill anyone, anywhere for money. You will play 4 characters in the game, Private Allen, Ramirez, Roach and Soap.

The Graphics are superb, one of the best visuals ever made for an FPS game. It uses an extremly upgraded version of Modern Warfare engine that was used on the first game. You will see a lot of eye candy explosions and realistic texturing and images through out the game.

Sounds are incredible! you will experience the true function of your 5.1 / 7.1 Speakers, with it’s extraordinary Musical scoring and ultra realistic sound effects, There is no doubt that Modern Warfare 2 has the best in game sound ever made.

The gameplay is kind of the same as the first Modern Warfare but with more Weapons, tactics and the very useful Predator Drone. Campaign will just suck you into the story leaving you hours of playing although the campaign mode is quite short but a little longer than the first COD4: Modern Warfare. Multiplayer and Spec Ops mode are the best features of Modern Warfare 2, you’ll find Xbox live Gold worthy of your money. In Spec Ops mode, you can play short but challenging missions including some refurbished missions from the first game like the very popular Ghillie Mission.

You can’t go wrong with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Buy it while it lasts. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 broke the sales record of all entertainment media products, raking over $3 Billion, MW2 became the best and fastest selling game of all time.

Crysis: Warhead

Do you want to play something on your PC that can make you’re video card cry for hours? Crysis: Warhead is the game for you. Crysis: Warhead uses an upgraded Crytek Engine 2. Same as the predecessor Crysis, the game sucks up huge resources from your gaming rig. Starting from your GPU up to your main CPU, small average computer won’t even load this monster up. But all that torture aside, Crysis: Warhead will definitely satisfy your gaming needs, from it’s compelling parallel story to the outstanding gameplay, Crysis: Warhead is one of the best buys of 2008.

The story focuses on the soldier named Scykes “Psycho”. Earth is being invaded by aliens and those evil north Koreans. Together with your few team mates, you must eliminate all invading aliens and terminate all North Koreans with their evil plans.

oh yeah!! talk about firepower

Gameplay is pretty much the same as the first Crysis. Nanotech suits and tons of killer weapons can be experienced through out the game.

The best part of this game is Crysis: Wars, the multiplayer installer for Crysis. The problem with this multiplayer installer is it lags up big time when too many players are in the same map.

Bottomline:

Graphics, Sounds, Gameplay, Story, Weapons and all are superb! You cannot go wrong with Crysis: Warhead.

The only bad part here is you need an expensive yet ultra powerful gaming rig in order to play it at 60fps at maximum settings

Fallout 3 – Game of the Century

The story and game focuses on a post-apocalyptic world wherein the whole Washington D.C. was trashed by a massive Nuclear-Atomic explosion which caused some sort of scientific disaster. A lot of people and animals turned into monsters and mutants due to the contaminated water supply.

Your mission is to help your father to restore the cleanliness and purity of the water supply (A.K.A Project Purity) and bring Washington D.C. in order again.

Graphics are not as great as Crysis but that doesn’t get in the way at all, it’s not an explosive Sci-Fi action anyway so graphics didn’t bother us that much. 8800GT is enough to bring out the real graphics of Fallout 3 and it’s enough to impress us with it’s graphical power and presentation.
When it comes to the gameplay itself… It’s a no brainer that you will spend months playing Fallout 3, i mean everything you can imagine in a game are all here… Customize your skills and weapons, get drugged, kill anyone at anytime, become a good samaritan or a purely evil madman, go to any place and of course the ever popular and very reliable V.A.T.S (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) where you can pause the game and target the enemy’s vital points – This V.A.T.S thing can be very useful and enjoyable as well… all of this features can get you playing for hours and months. Every hardcore gamers out there should definitely play Fallout 3!
Sounds are definitely amazing. Old school music (and i mean like Frank Sinatra type of music) can be heard throughout the game, the twist may seem a bit odd due to it’s futuristic setting but it fits perfectly for Fallout. Guns, Grenades and Nuke explosions are heart pounding. Sounds in this game is simply perfect as well..
What about the gore factor you asked? Fallout 3 is all about Gore! Blood and body parts are everywhere in this game. Be sure to have a Bloody Mess perk to bring out total Blood Bath!
Let’s put it this way… If you want a real game for your unit and shelf, BUY FALLOUT 3!!!
